Bhutan Association of Women Entrepreneurs (BAOWE) with support from the Bhutan Foundation and USAID-US Agency for International Development ESF project will work to address post-harvest losses and access to the market. The overall goal of this project is to enhance local agriculture production, reduce post-harvest losses and ultimately keep farmers, particularly women, employed and out of poverty during the pandemic and beyond.
The project will help women entrepreneurs to enhance local agriculture production by providing farming machinery and equipment such as dehydrator machine, flour mill, oil expeller, turmeric grinding machines, deep freezers and cooler boxes in four Districts. In addition to providing equipment, the project will provide capacity training on the usage of equipment, packaging, labeling, and branding of the food products.
